About
Monarch Homeschool Cooperative offers a secular program that meets on Thursdays in Victor.
We are a group of families who work together to provide supplemental classes and community. As a cooperative, a parent from each family remains on site during program hours and either teaches or assists in their assigned classroom. Currently children ages 6-18 attend our program.
What We Offer
History
History topics vary by grade level. Some examples of topics we have covered include American history, geography, world history, cultural studies, government, and economics.
Science
Science on community day is filled with hands-on activities. Middle schoolers and high schoolers can be found working on lab assignments.
Life Skills
Each year we aim to include life skills into our lessons. Some examples of skills we have worked on include sewing, cooking, financial literacy, debate, and volunteering in the community.
Field Trips
We enjoy field trips and other optional meet-ups outside of our regular meeting time. We aim to schedule these optional experiences on Fridays. Occasionally field trips are scheduled on Thursdays during our regular co-op time.
Special Events
Monarchs are a family who do life together. Some of our special events include apple pie day (sixth grade and up), harvest celebration, Christmas activities, Valentine’s Day exchanges, field day, safety day, and our end of the year showcase. We look forward to adding prom, graduation, and other showcase events during the year.
